Chess Champions

Pablo and David Gonzalez, with their parents and Mrs McCann were invited by Mr Chris Lyttle MLA to Stormont for the Children's Chess Awards.

The two boys excelled at Chess during the year at different tournaments and even represented Northern Ireland in London in December!

Pablo came 1st in the Primary Chess Championship and 1st in the Primary Puzzle Solving Chess Championship with David coming a very close 3rd and 2nd respectively.

On the day, the boys had to play several more matches, which they both won, but eventually had to play each other, and this ended in a draw!!

Pablo and David came home laden with lots of trophies and certificates.

Needless to say, everyone at NPS is very proud of them!!
