Goodbye Mr Brown

20th Jun 2024

Today we held a special farewell assembly for Mr Brown, who has been teaching in the school for 11 years.

ðŸŽķ Mrs Kincaid wrote Mr Brown a special song to his favourite assembly song ‘Peace like a river’. The whole school sang this and we know he enjoyed singing along with us!

ðŸŽĩ🊘P1 and and P2 sang ‘We are marching in the light of God’ and sang the last verse in Swahili. Thanks to Evan and Olly for accompanying on the djembe drum for our final verse.

ðŸŽĪP3 and P4 recited a personalised poem for Mr Brown. This got lots of smiles and giggles. 😊

🕚 💃 P5 read an acrostic poem and treated us to a fabulous dance to Shakira’s ‘Waka Waka’.

ðŸŦ P6 entertained us with a chocolate bar poem and gave Mr Brown a basket of chocolate treats that were included the poem.

🔠 P7 used the letters of the alphabet to share their memories of him.

Mrs McCann shared a special report of Mr Brown and thanked him for all he has done for NPS over the past 11 years.

ðŸ“đ We all enjoyed a video of memories from past pupils and photographs from the past 11 years too.

Mr Brown then presented our prizes during our annual prize giving. Well done to all the winners and runner ups. (See Class Dojo for details of these.) 🌟

Thank you Mr Brown for everything that you have done! We wish you every success as you take up your new role as Vice Principal in Largymore Primary School. We know you’ll take the NPS motto with you and ‘Be the Best You Can Be! ‘ 🌟
